What is a Death Café?

A Death Café is a relaxed, open conversation about death. There is no agenda and no talk or presentation. People share thoughts, questions and experiences in small groups, and a host keeps the space friendly and confidential.

A Death Café is not a bereavement support group or therapy. Some people come after a death, some are caring for someone who is dying, and some are simply curious. If you are grieving and want support, see bereavement groups by borough.
